Are You an Heir of Heaven or an Heir of Hell?

Can you feel it?

It’s getting stronger by the day.

The shaking, I mean.

Because we are being shaken!

And it’s only the beginning of sorrows.

All–meaning every single created thing–that can be shaken will be shaken! It’s a profound and somber thought or at least it should be, especially among professing Christians.

In the book of Ezekiel he describes the coming fury of God–and make no mistake, His fury will be unleashed. It is coming. He (our mighty God) will shake terribly (this means with a great force) all that can be shaken: …all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground….and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord. –Ezekiel 38:20-23.

Oh, yes…the shaking has started and like a woman in labor, the birth pangs won’t and can’t be stopped and the shaking will increase as this Shemitah year progresses to its crescendo in 2015.

No one knows the day or the hour, but know this:

The King is Coming!

Look Up! The King is Coming!

Our Redemption draws nigh! The King is Coming!

Time is running out, just as it did for those in the days of Noah. Just as I am compelled to write in my blog posts, Noah tried to warn others about God’s coming Judgment for the sin on the earth, but not a single one of them listened or heeded his warnings. The door to the Ark was opened to all those who would accept Noah’s warnings to escape the coming judgment. But again, no one–not a single solitary soul listened to Noah–so not one of them was saved. Time ran out, the door of the Ark was shut, and the rains came and all life outside the Ark was destroyed. Only eight people were saved–those inside the Ark, Noah’s family.

And so here we are today. The earth is filled to the brim with sin and is growing darker and darker. Nothing has changed from the days of Noah. Few are thinking of God and scant few read His Word. They all go about the things in this World with nary a thought for what is coming.

Where do you stand?

There are only two choices.

History is repeating–judgment is coming–and salvation is still available right now, this minute, through the Door–Jesus Christ, the Son of God. But God will not tarry forever. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. –Hebrews 10:37.

It is an absolute and immutable promise from God that there will come a day when the door of the Ark will shut once more. Please, don’t be foolish like those in Noah’s day, who would not believe and failed to enter into such a great salvation.

Imagine in the theater of your mind, Noah and his family safely stowed and shut up in the Ark, the unsaved outside of the Ark, where no high ground could be found, frantically they reached for something to pull them up, anything that would save them, their lungs filling with water and the former words of Noah pleading with them to join him in the Ark playing over and over in their mind, wishing that they heeded–oh how they regretted not listening–how they wished they could have changed their minds, until finally they succumbed to the deep, forever separated from God. No second chances for these ungodly.

And such will be the fate of far too many, unless, that is, they give their heart to Jesus before the door is shut.

Yes, the shaking has begun. Will you be an heir of heaven or an heir of hell?

It’s been nearly three weeks since the start of the Shemitah year. Let’s take a look at just some of what has happened since the 25th of September. Events are occurring so fast, it’s enough to make one’s head spin.

  • Blood Moon on October 8.
  • U.S. Stock Market Plummets.
  • Recession peril mounts in Germany (this is a big deal).
  • Vladimir Putin pushes his will and his designs on Ukraine and Europe. (The Great Bear of the North — the Last King of the North is gaining in power).
  • Plunge in Oil Prices (this is a two-edged sword).
  • First case of Ebola Virus in the U.S. diagnosed on the first day of the Shemitah. A second U.S. citizen (a nurse) is diagnosed with Ebola on October 13, with more cases feared.
  • CDC’s dire warning today (Oct. 14) that Ebola in West Africa could reach 10,000 cases a week in two months — the disease is killing 70% of those who contract it.
  • Satanic controlled ISIS Terrorists are gaining in strength and in territory. They want to control the Euphrates River (this is Biblically significant–keep watch on events with the Euphrates). The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. –Rev. 16:12.
  • Today Feds warn of ISIS-inspired attacks on Police, Media, and U.S. Government officials.
  • Dubbed the Open Border Flu, Enterovirus D68 (EV-68) outbreak with 700 confirmed cases around the U.S. On October 10, the virus claimed the life of a toddler. There is no known treatment or cure.
  • Civil Unrest worldwide is on the rise–protests in St. Louis, Missouri over second African-American killed by off-duty police.
  • Mass unexplained animal deaths worldwide.
  • Spike in food prices and inflation is on the rise.

It is my earnest prayer that more professing Christians would wake up and quit conforming to this world, stop striving for the things of this world as if you will be able to have one foot here and one foot in the Kingdom of heaven. It doesn’t work that way. Everything will be burned up. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

I love how Charles Spurgeon explains how we, as true professing Christians, must not conform to this world, for we are not of it:

If a Christian can possibly be saved while he conforms to this world, it must be so as by fire. Such a bare salvation is almost as much to be dreaded as desired. Reader, would you wish to leave this world in the darkness of a desponding death bed, and enter heaven as a shipwrecked mariner climbs the rocks of his native country? then be worldly; be mixed up with Mammonites [servant to Money], and refuse to go without the camp bearing Christ’s reproach. But would you have a heaven below as well as a heaven above? Would you comprehend with all saints what are the heights and depths, and know the love of Christ which passes knowledge? Would you receive an abundant entrance into the joy of your Lord? Then come ye out from among them, and be ye separate, and touch not the unclean thing. Would you attain the full assurance of faith? you cannot gain it while you commune with sinners. Would you flame with vehement love? your love will be damped by the drenchings of godless society. You cannot become a great Christian-you may be a babe in grace, but you never can be a perfect man in Christ Jesus while you yield yourself to the worldly maxims and modes of business of men of the world. It is ill for an heir of heaven to be a great friend with the heirs of hell. It has a bad look when a courtier is too intimate with his king’s enemies. Even small inconsistencies are dangerous. Little thorns make great blisters, little moths destroy fine garments, and little frivolities and little rogueries will rob religion of a thousand joys. O professor, too little separated from sinners, you know not what you lose by your conformity to the world. It cuts the tendons of your strength, and makes you creep where you ought to run. Then, for your own comfort’s sake, and for the sake of your growth in grace, if you be a Christian, be a Christian, and be a marked and distinct one.

Won’t you heed the voice of the Master? Jesus is calling. Open the door to your heart and accept Him as your Lord and Savior.

It’s not too late, yet…

So what do you think? I would love to know your opinions and thoughts on this post!
