I have a sense of urgency.

As much as I want to go about my everyday life as if nothing is happening, I just can’t.

Many friends and relatives of mine…they just seem to blindly muddle and struggle through each day without a thought of what is coming.

They are totally and completely oblivious to the freight train that is screaming down the track toward them.

One of my favorite Bible scholars, Chuck Missler, said this (read it carefully and let it sink in):

The more one knows about what the Bible says about the “End Times,” and the more one stays informed on what is presently going on in the world, the more it would appear that we are being plunged into a period of time about which the Bible says more than it does about any other period in human history including the time when Jesus walked the shores of the Sea of Galilee or climbed the mountains of Judea.

 

 

This is an amazing and very serious statement, yet there are scant few that I know (especially Christians) who truly want to know about the times we are living in and how these times are connected to the Word of God. They say:

Not right now, Rachel. I have kids to put through college.

Not right now, Rachel. I have all I can do to keep all the balls in the air.

Not right now, Rachel. I don’t want to hear about all the problems in the world. I have enough of my own.

Not right now, Rachel. I’m not ready to leave this world yet. I have a life to live and young children to raise.

Not right now, Rachel. Things will get better soon–from the beginning of time, it’s always been this way.

Not right now, Rachel. I have enough things to worry about.

Not right now, Rachel.  It’s too scary to think about.

Not right now, Rachel. When we get a new President and a new administration, things will change.

But I say, consider the many things that are emerging on the world stage that are critically relevant from a biblical perspective. All of the following will profoundly affect each and every one of our lives, and our future, and our nation:

• Ebola (and this frightening strain is different than the others in the past)
• Cholera
• ISIS and Boko Haram (and all the other terrorists groups in the world)
• Rise of Islam
• Weapons of Mass Destruction
• Rise of China
• Rise of the One World Government
• Deadly Heresy of Chrislam (denying the deity of Jesus Christ and seeking to merge the Church with Islam)
• Christians departing from the faith
• Knowledge Explosion
• Violence and Sexual Immorality (like we have never seen)
• Natural Disasters (Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Fires, Drought)
• Crucifixion and beheadings of scores of Christians
• Wars and Civil Unrest Across the Globe
• Famine
• Inflation
• Joblessness
• Economic Collapse

Piling onto the above-listed events, there is also the fact that this is a Shemitah year and the year of the Four Blood Moons.

The Four Blood Moons–Lunar Eclipse–Act II

Jesus commanded us to know the signs of the times. Prophetic biblical signs in the heavens relate to the end times in which we are living, whether you choose to believe these signs or not. And there will be signs in the heavens…—Matthew 24 and Luke 21.

In my part of the world, in the wee morning hours of October 8, 2014, the second of four blood moons will appear. As I did with the first blood moon on April 15th of this year, I’ll be taking a front row seat in my backyard for this heavenly event.

If you don’t know what the four blood moons are or their significance, I would strongly suggest researching it and especially from a biblical perspective. Take your family outside and watch it. After 2015, you will never have the opportunity to see them again.

Because it happens right after the perigee, the closest point to Earth in the moon’s orbit, this blood moon will be enormous, almost the size of a super moon. It will appear 5.3% larger than the previous blood moon on April 15, 2014.

It will be the second in a sequence of four, referred to as a “tetrad” which will occur in six-month intervals. The next one will appear on April 4, 2015, and the last one on September 28, 2015—interestingly the first two of the blood moons occur on Jewish Holidays of Passover and the Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles). Two solar eclipses will also occur in 2015 on the Jewish New Years for Kings and Feast of Trumpets Holidays.

Whether or not you will even stop to consider that these blood moons are meaningful signs in the heavens of what is to come, is up to you. Don’t take my word for it. Search God’s Word for yourself. Satisfy your own curiosity, but please don’t be like the rest of the crowd. Don’t blow it off or ignore it.

The Biblical “Shemitah” Year

Where are all the harvesters?

There are so many that are headed for destruction. Shouldn’t we be shouting at the top of our lungs, THE TRAIN IS COMING!…THE TRAIN IS COMING!…THE TRAIN IS COMING!
