It’s Saturday.
And besides having this irresistible urge to bake a great big, juicy apple pie, there’s really little else I feel like doing.
After feeding my pooches, I sat down at my desk with a nice hot cup of Joe in hand and wondered what in the world I should blog today.
Something lighthearted. Nothing heavy or too serious. Because it’s Saturday after all.
So I started going through some of my collection of things.
I acquire some of the most unusual, strange, and yes, creepy items.
I especially enjoy collecting old photographs.
Many of the photos are unfortunately of unidentified people who have long ago passed.
They are all but lost to the dustbin of history.
That’s why I like to resurrect their memory by writing about them, even if I don’t know who they are.
There are instances where I am able to identify the unidentified, which is always a thrill.
Not in this case, though.
Here she is, in all her hand-tinted glory.

Resurrecting the Forgotten: Her Name Could Have Been Gladys ©2014 Vanity All is Vanity
Who was she? She looks like a Gladys to me.
Anyone out there recognize her as a family member?
Would you even claim her if it were?
And that doll…is it just me or does it resemble Gladys?
I would love to know her story.
Wouldn’t you?
Now, about that apple pie…
