Dear Heavenly Father…

Today you did a mighty work.

You delivered me from the hand of the enemy.

All the Glory is Yours.

Only you know the pain and agony I have suffered these many years at the hands of a brutal oppressor.

When I didn’t think I could take another step…

I trusted you.

When I didn’t think the storm would ever end…

I trusted you.

When at times I could not feel your presence…

I trusted you.

When I cried out to you in the dark of night more times than I can count…

I trusted you.

When I thought all hope was lost…

I trusted you.

When I thought I was going to lose my life…

I trusted you.

When I thought you no longer heard my prayers…

I trusted you.

When all others said there is no God…

I trusted you.

My prayer was as Job’s: Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him! Naked, I came from my mother’s womb, and naked, I shall return. The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away; Blessed be the name of the Lord!    

Lord God, you are my hope and my salvation. Who is like You?! Your love is like no other.

The words in this letter seem so woefully inadequate to thank you for the miracle you performed today, but my heart is full of joy, and it is well with my soul. What an awesome display of your power and grace.

On humble knee, I bow to your Holy Name and thank you for being Who you Are: the Great I AM!
